SCAVENGER HUNT POST
Today, I am hosting L.H. Nicole on my website for the YA Scavenger Hunt! (Look at the gorgeous cover!)
L.H. Nicole is a seasoned Pastry Chef at the happiest place on earth and a life long fairytale (Disney and Grimm) lover. She believes in love at first sight, is addicted to 80's & 90's cartoons and anything that can capture her ADD-way-to-overactive-imagination. Joan Lowery Nixon and L.J. Smith were the first authors she became addicted to and who inspired her to steal away whenever she could to read and write.
Making a devil's bargain with a Fae queen is a dangerous thing. Thrown back to the golden days of Camelot, Aliana needs to find the object that will lead her and the Knights of the Round Table to the Grail of Power. But Aliana, the Destined One, must also figure out and complete a mysterious task before she can return to her own time. The consequences of revealing Camelot's future to King Arthur or any member of the Round Table family could be devastating, and keeping the future a secret becomes harder by the day. She is forced to keep her secrets, feeling more alone than ever, even with the support of her new friends and allies.
With the unwelcome knowledge of their looming deaths, will she be able to resist the temptation to save the people she loves? While she is trying to figure out her purpose for being sent to the past, the attentions of Sir Galahad and King Arthur continue to be a delightful yet confusing distraction. Her feelings for Arthur--even this version of him who doesn't know her—continue to grow. The sparking sensation she'd normally felt whenever she touched Sir Galahad is mysteriously missing, but she can't deny a continued connection with the protective knight.
Weapons powerful enough to destroy even Excalibur surface, along with a shadowy figure that even seems to have influence over Mordrid. The time of the eclipse grows ever closer and everything Aliana thought she knew will once again be tossed into question as she continues on her legendary quest.

I hope you all enjoy it! For more extras GO TO THIS LINK and have fun exploring!
(Pst…spoiler alert if you haven’t read the series!)
A cool touch, like fine silk, brushed my skin and the pain rippling through my body vanished. My vision cleared, and had I not been so injured, I would have pulled away from the foreign caress. Titania, Queen of the Fae, mistress of the Isle of the Blessed, and consort to the Elf King of Avalon was not a woman a man wanted to be close to.
“Arthur Pendragon,” her deceptively honeyed voice was laced with a current of arrogance. I peered into her hard emerald eyes. “Do you want to live, Arthur Pendragon? To save the realms, to regain your life and find your happiness, will you do what is asked of you? If I save you, will you rise up and do what must be done to stop Mordrid and his evil?”
My anger burned brighter, and I could feel the weakened strength of my dragon blood rise to roar with vengeance. I wanted all those things more than my next breath. “Yes, my lady. I swear on my life I will not rest until Mordrid’s dead body lies at my feet.” That bastard wizard and Morgana have much to pay for, and I will be the one to see the debt paid.
Her fingers trailed over my throbbing cheek. Those jeweled eyes of hers pulsed with pleasure. “I have always had a fondness for you, dear king.”
More like a fondness for my kingdom. It didn’t escape my notice that she only now referred to me by my title after I agreed to her demands.
I heard her ask my loyal knights, my brothers, for their own magical vow. Honorable men that they are, they agreed.
With the pain dulled, thoughts of my fallen men assail me. I could still hear their death cries and those of my people…the people I could not protect as I had sworn to do. All my life I had dedicated my every thought, my every deed to Camelot and her people. How could I have failed them so miserably?
“Prepare yourselves.” The queen’s voice echoed all around us.
My muscles twisted and burned as if being stretched beyond their limit, then I relaxed as if all the pain and tension had been soothed away by a touch I knew down to my soul. How could the magic of a Queen I had only met once feel so familiar? Even if it was such a fleeting recognition.
“Do you have the Grail of Power?”
I watched Merlin hand her the gold goblet, encrusted with jewels infused with so much power even those without magic could feel how dangerous it was. I wanted to tell them not to give it to her. I have never trusted the Fae. Her veiled attempt to worm her way into my kingdom failed when Delphina confessed the real reason she was made Fae ambassador to my court. I never blamed Delphina. I knew what her truth would have cost her had I not given her my protection. I still wondered if her failed mission was part of what came between our love.
Gold glinted under the rays of light streaming in from a shaft in the cavern where Titania had brought us. I watched as blood dripped from the magic object forming the largest ruby I had ever seen.
Beyond the Queen, I saw my men: Lancelot, Galahad, and Merlin. I could see the guilt and sorrow killing them as surely as their wounds. But the guilt was mine. How did I fail to predict Mordrid’s actions? I lost everything because of him and my treacherous cousin, Morgana. My brothers were too loyal to leave me, and now they would suffer even more because of my failure.
Titania’s swaying copper curls and the blood ruby hovering above me forced my attention to her and her sparkling magic.
“Arthur Pendragon, you are the once and future king, I command you to sleep until the one who is destined to awaken you seeks you out and calls for your aid.”
The burgundy-colored magic consumed me, pulling my consciousness from my dying body. The Fae’s emerald eyes demanded my acceptance.
Then they changed.
Those cold stones softened. The Queen’s face changed, the smug pleasure morphing into a youthful and enthralling girl with a laughing smile brighter than any sun. The goodness in her went all the way to her soul, cocooned around us both. She leaned down over me and whispered my name as my hearing started to fade and her ghostly fingers brushed my hair across my forehead.
I did not know who this girl was, but my heart jumped, and my blood quickened as my dragon half let out an almost purr of longing. Her soft laughter and the sweet way she said my name were all I could hear as her soft pink lips brushed mine.
I felt myself surrendering to the Fae’s magic, pulling me further away yet closer to this ghost girl with the purest, strongest heart I had ever known. Yet, I did not know her. I could not recall a name, but I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt she was dear to my heart.
She was my Destiny.
