YA Scavenger Hunt- fall 2017
Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors...and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to EXCLUSIVE content from each author, you also get a numerical clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will ONLY be online for 120 hours--starting at 3pm EST October 3rd and ending Sunday 10/8/17 3PM EST!

SCAVENGER HUNT PUZZLE
Here's what to do, how to enter, and how to play!
Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've hidden my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the GREEN team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!).
Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you enter here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.
Rules:
- Open internationally
- Only one entry per person per team
- If you win, you must claim your prize within 48 hours or the prize will be re-drawn
- You must be 16 years or older, or have the permission of a guardian to enter
- Duplicate entries will be deleted
- Anyone who blatantly disregards the rules (i.e. purposefully entering multiple times) will be disqualified. (We understand accidental duplicate entries, but last hunt, some people tried to enter dozens of time. All entries of someone who does this will be disqualified.)
- Direct questions in the comments of this post, or email YASH.Organizer@gmail.com
- You have until October 9th, noon PST to complete the entry form. All entries must be turned in by this time to qualify.
- Only correct entries submitted through the forms above (under ENTRY FORM:) will qualify as an entry.

According to her bio, Kimberly watches WAY too much TV (don't we all!), orders 20-pound boxes of Nerds gumballs off the Internet, and loves to complain about the rain, even though she lives in Seattle where it rains all of the time! - When I saw the cover of The Taking, I immediately thought of those beautiful tattoos of dandelions where the puff blows away and turns into birds! I think they're dragonflies on the cover, but still...gorgeous effect!
- And when I saw The Countdown, the first thing I noticed was the bright ball of light that looks so real I can only imagine how awesome it looks on a bookstore shelf. (Scroll down just a teensy bit more to see it yourself!)
